For property owners
Rent out your property yourself — we'll help you find the right tenant
List your home with AUS Private Realty and reach renters looking to rent direct from the owner. We advertise your property, collect complete applications and give you practical advice. You stay in charge: you choose your tenant, sign the lease and run your rental your way.
What we do for owners
Advertise your property
Your home gets its own listing page with photos, rent, features and pet policy, written to show up in Google searches like "private rentals" in your area. You also get a link to share on Facebook, Gumtree and anywhere else.
Collect complete applications
Renters apply online in about 10 minutes, with photo ID (front and back), proof of income and references. Each application arrives as a tidy PDF with the documents attached, so you can compare applicants easily.
Give you practical advice
Not sure what rent to ask, how to handle a pet request, or what you're allowed to ask applicants? We'll point you in the right direction and to your state's official forms and rules.
What stays with you
We are not a property manager. Once you've found your tenant, you deal with them directly:
- Choosing your tenant and signing the lease
- Lodging the bond with your state or territory bond authority
- The entry condition report and any routine inspections
- Collecting rent, arranging repairs and keeping the home safe and compliant
How it works
Send us your details
The address, weekly rent, when it's available, your pet policy and some good photos.
We write and publish your listing
We prepare a clear, search-friendly listing and send you the link to check before it goes live.
Applications come in
Renters apply online first. We forward each complete application to you, and you arrange inspections with the applicants you like.
You choose your tenant
Offer the lease, sign it, lodge the bond — and let us know so we can mark the listing as leased.
Questions from owners
Do I need a real estate agent to rent out my property?
No. In every Australian state and territory, owners can lease their own property. You will need to follow your state's tenancy laws — for example, using the standard lease form, lodging the bond with the state bond authority and completing an entry condition report. We can point you to the right forms for your state.
Who chooses the tenant?
You do. We forward every application to you in full, and you decide who to offer the lease to. You can ask us for a second opinion on any application.
Do you collect rent or manage the property?
No. We advertise your property and help with advice. You collect the rent, lodge the bond, arrange repairs and deal with your tenant directly — or appoint a property manager if you ever want one.
How do applications reach me?
Renters apply through our online form, uploading photo ID and proof of income. Each application is compiled into a tidy PDF with the documents attached, and we email it on to you.
Can I list a property anywhere in Australia?
Yes. We list homes in every state and territory, and each listing also appears on our area pages, such as private rentals in Sydney or Darwin.
Our advice is general information, not legal advice. Tenancy laws differ between states and territories — check with your state's tenancy authority before acting.
